At HJHS, our mission is to guide students to realize and achieve their greatest potential through the combined efforts of students, staff, parents, and community, so they may become productive and responsible citizens, lifelong learners, and respectful individuals.
Our Vision
Mineral County School District creates a safe and equitable learning environment that honors everyone’s cultures and identities and provides all students the opportunities and support they need to thrive. We spark students’ curiosity and prepare students with the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for college, career, and life. commitment to our community and students.
Facilities
Our school boasts Chromebooks for each student. We have a new and vertically aligned English and math curriculum that is being implemented in grades 7-8 this year. Science and social studies will be aligned and implemented in 2024/2025.
Community Engagement
We encourage active participation from parents, families, and the community and have developed a parent engagement calendar to encourage our families to participate in the education of their students. Building strong partnerships with parents is vital to the success of our students, and we believe in open communication and collaboration.
