At HJHS, our mission is to guide students to realize and achieve their greatest potential through the combined efforts of students, staff, parents, and community, so they may become productive and responsible citizens, lifelong learners, and respectful individuals.


Our Vision

Mineral County School District creates a safe and equitable learning environment that honors everyone’s cultures and identities and provides all students the opportunities and support they need to thrive. We spark students’ curiosity and prepare students with the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for college, career, and life. We uplift our students to be confident, kind, and loving community leaders who graduate ready for their future and are successful at whatever they choose.

Our Team

HJHS is proud to have a team of dedicated and passionate educators who are committed to the success of every student. Our faculty members have deep
commitment to our community and students.


Facilities

Our school boasts Chromebooks for each student. We have a new and vertically aligned English and math curriculum that is being implemented in grades 7-8 this year. Science and social studies will be aligned and implemented in 2024/2025.


Community Engagement

We encourage active participation from parents, families, and the community and have developed a parent engagement calendar to encourage our families to participate in the education of their students. Building strong partnerships with parents is vital to the success of our students, and we believe in open communication and collaboration.
